Crown & Comb opened its six chairs on Haywood Road with a quiet and specific purpose: to bring the full weight of traditional barbering — the consult, the cut, the steam, the blade — to a neighbourhood that values things built to last. We are not a franchise. We are not a chain. We are a shop, in the oldest sense of the word.
Marcus started cutting hair as a teenager in his uncle's shop two towns over. The memory of that place — walnut surfaces, the smell of warm lather, the hush before a cut — never left him. When the Haywood Road space came available in 2015, he knew exactly what he wanted to build.

Walk-ins have always been welcome here. Not as an afterthought, but as a philosophy: the best barber shops are open to anyone who shows up with a need and a little time. We keep the schedule honest and the door open.
